Prior to joining the Mundaca Law Firm, Kiara operated in a high-volume, court-centric landlord-tenant litigation practice where she was in court regularly, arguing motions, handling contested hearings, negotiating on the record, and driving cases toward resolution under tight procedural timelines. The role demanded efficiency, sharp litigation instincts, and constant courtroom presence — experience that forged her into a confident and decisive advocate.

Prior to that, Kiara practiced at a boutique civil rights litigation firm in Washington, D.C., where she handled complex employment and civil rights disputes from intake through resolution. She litigated claims arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and the D.C. Human Rights Act, managing written discovery, conducting depositions, drafting and arguing dispositive motions, preparing for trial, and negotiating strategic settlements. Her work required not only mastery of federal and local anti-discrimination law, but the ability to build compelling narratives rooted in evidence and accountability.

Kiara began her career as an Assistant District Attorney in Brooklyn at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office — one of the most respected and high-profile prosecutorial offices in the United States. There, she prosecuted misdemeanor and felony cases, conducted evidentiary hearings, negotiated plea agreements, and appeared routinely in criminal court. The intensity, volume, and rigor of that office sharpened her trial instincts and trained her to assess risk, evaluate evidence quickly, and advocate decisively under pressure.

Outside of work, Kiara enjoys collecting vinyl, solo traveling, and is a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan (not a bandwagon one).
