James Battle

James Battle is an Associate Attorney at The Mundaca Law Firm, where he supports clients with business litigation and employment matters.

James brings hands-on courtroom experience and a record of zealous client advocacy to every matter he handles. James has litigated cases across district and circuit courts, managing all phases of litigation including client counseling, discovery, motion practice, negotiations, and trial — serving as lead counsel of record at bench trials, motion hearings, and pre-trial proceedings.

Background

Prior to joining the firm, James served as a Staff Attorney at Maryland Legal Aid, where he developed a rigorous litigation practice representing clients in high-stakes civil matters. His experience encompasses drafting and filing complaints, answers, motions, subpoenas, and appellate memoranda; conducting factual investigations; and preparing clients and witnesses for hearings and bench trials.

In his free time, James enjoys cooking, reading, playing video games, and supporting New York sports teams (GO KNICKS!).
